ACTIONS TO FOLLOW Upon discovery of a fire:

Please Do Not Attempt to fight a fire Yourself

1. Leave the area immediately, closing all doors behind you (if applicable).

2. If audible alarm has not been automatically activated, pull nearest fire alarm box.

3. Go to the nearest phone and contact University Police at x3636. Give the dispatcher the following information:
Building name and department
Floor of emergency
Details of emergency injuries, if any

4. University Police will notify the proper authorities.

5. Evacuate the floor or building (see evacuation procedure).
