Incident:

On Saturday, October 21, 2006 at approximately 11:30AM, an Armed Robbery occured in Nebraska Parking Lot.

Information from Metropolitan Police of Washington DC revealed that on 08-21-06, a black male, medium complexion, approximately 5’ 08” to 5’ 09” tall, medium build, with short hair, weighing between 170-180 lbs, approached a female visitor while sitting in her vehicle. The subject yielded a knife and demanded property. The victim complied and relinquished a wallet containing identification and cash. The subject fled the area on foot. The victim did not sustain any injuries.


Description of Suspect:


Male, black, about 5’ 08” to 5’ 09”, medium build, medium complexion, clean shaven, short afro style hair, wearing a beige sweater, and yielding a knife.

Safety Tips:

Walk in groups whenever possible and look out for each other.

Avoid isolated and dark areas.

Carry your cell phone and keep it accessible.

If you are approached, take note of the person’s appearance, clothing, and anything unusual that will help identify the individual.

Be aware of the emergency telephones (yellow boxes on poles with blue lights or red telephones) located on campus, in building lobbies, elevators, and in parking lots.

General Tips:

Report anything or anyone suspicious to Public Safety or to your residence hall.
