Incident:

According to Metro Police Dept, several vehicles parked in the 4200-4400 block of Massachusetts Ave were broken into and items removed. This occurred after midnight on 10/30/02. Entry was gained by smashing the passenger’s side window. Radios, CD players and CDs were targeted, although other items, such as books and bags, were also taken.

NONE.

Safety Tips:

Leaving your valuables on your car seat in plain view makes a thief’s life easier.

Avoid public street parking, if possible.

Turn your car alarm system on. While the noise may not deter a “smash and grab,” it attracts attention to the thief.
