Incident:

During the early morning of 09/03/01, a resident student awoke and discovered someone inside her room attempting to steal a computer. The resident chased the person and saw at least one other person at the door keeping watch. The two fled with one other person down the hall and were last seen running out of the building. One of the persons has subsequently been identified. This incident is identical to other thefts that occurred in March and April 2001.

Description of Suspect(s):

The two unidentified persons were males, one wearing a navy blue jersey and the other was about 6’ tall, had light brown shaggy hair and was wearing all gray.

If you have any information relating to this incident, or witness suspicious activity, please contact University Police at x3636.

Safety Tips:

ALWAYS LOCK YOUR DOOR, EVEN WHEN IN THE ROOM!!!

Report unusual activity, such as persons trying doorknobs, immediately to the RA or Public Safety.

Take note of descriptive details to aid apprehension of the suspect.

Register your Personal Property Serial Numbers with Public Safety.
